Holiday Luggage Import & Export Service

How do I book a collection with 1st Parcel Direct?
Simply go to Book Online and fill out the required details. You will receive two delivery quotations, select your delivery option and proceed to address details and then create your online secure payment.  You will receive two emails - the 1st will be your order summary and the 2nd, confirmation of your payment (receipt).  If you select the option of us supplying your documents then these will be posted with full instructions - if posted is not selected we will email all the necessary travel documents (Air document). Please affix the supplied labels (Air document) securely to each piece of luggage using a clear document pouch or even a standard A4 plastic sleeve.

What is an Air Document?
An Air Document is the posting documentation required for collection and delivery. It also contains a unique barcode (tracking number). This tracking number is vital for the safe transit from A to B, plus it will allow us to advise you where your item(s) are at a given date / time. Also it will prove vital when making any future enquiries with 1st Parcel Direct representatives.


What delivery speeds are available?
We offer two delivery speeds - Air (Fastest) and Land (Express & most cost-effective). Both services will be revealed when creating an actual booking, you select the service that you require.

Do I need to tell you the weight of my shipment?
No, as long as your item is within our posting allowances as stated on the quotation page. Our system has been designed to calculate the charge for you.

What happens if my items exceed the given allowances?
All items are subjected to a weight and measurement check. If your items exceed given allowances then your item will be returned to you at the earliest opportunity. Please be aware a refund will be given minus 25% surcharge. This covers all charges for the actual return plus credit card fees accrued.

Customs and Excise
  • Non - EEC locations are subject to the sender supplying 6 x signed Commercial Invoices per item (this is a legal requirement).Failure to supply these vital forms will result in a refused item.
  • Customs and Excise can detain your item for a full customs inspection; they can also delay the transit times by as little as 1hr to 48hrs, so please calculate for this when shipping to a NON-EEC destination.
  • If we are supplying the documents then you do nothing.
  • If you choose the option of the documents to be emailed then you will be responsible for the attachment of all documentation including Commercial Invoices. The documents must be secured correctly as lost paperwork will result in a nil claim for loss or delay. Also items must be packed for safe transportation within a major carrier system.

  • Customs and Excise charges
  • Import duties – All items are subject to a Customs and Excise inspection and the laws for each country must be honoured. Customs have the authority and will exercise the law for contraband entry.
  • Warning – may be requested for payment at the point of delivery. All Customs and Excise charges are the responsibility of the receiver, not 1st Parcel Direct.

  • What is your service area?
  • Export:  Collection from any United Kingdom postcode to any worldwide business location
  • Import:  Collection from capitals and major cities business addresses to any United Kingdom postcode
  • What we can’t do. Collect an import item from a residential address.

  • Bonus:
    Enter within the contents box "Please supply all documents" and we will even send all the necessary documents for your luggage. We do require 2 additional days if you require this service. All you need to do is sign the supplied documents and make yourself available for the collection Monday-Friday between 12:00hrs and 17:00hrs.

    Need a collection?
    How about email service? How does it work? We will send all the documents to your email address via a PDF attachment - you print - you attach - we collect between 12:00hrs -17:00hrs. Collected orders will be required no later than 13:00hrs. If selecting this option then ensure the documents are securely attached to your luggage.

      This is our complete Premium Rapid Service. We will arrange the collection of your luggage from the majority of capitals and major cities of the world (business only) for the delivery to any United Kingdom postcodes - normally within 1-2 days.

    • 3-7 day "Export" Service:
      This is our complete Cost-Effective Service. We will arrange the safe collection of your luggage from any United Kingdom postcode and deliver to the majority of capitals and major cities in the world - normally within 7 days
    • 3-7 day "Import" Service:  
      This is our complete Cost-Effective Service. We will arrange the collection of your luggage from the majority of capitals and major cities of the world (business only) for the delivery to any United Kingdom postcodes - normally within 7 days.
